Charl Engelbrecht
Managing Director
With over 18 years of experience, Charl leads the Dwellsmiths team with his wealth of commercial, residential, and architectural cladding knowledge and expertise.
​
As a Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP), Charl brings both national and international experience, and takes great satisfaction from seeing a job come to completion to the highest industry standard.
​
Outside of work, you will find Charl out on the golf course, carving up the slopes on the ski field, or spending time with family, animals, and out in nature.
Maryke Engelbrecht
Office Manager
Having previously spent 13 years as an investment, financial, sales, and insurance advisor, Maryke manages the day to day running of the team, scheduling, accounts, and everything in between.
Enjoying the fast-paced nature and diversity of the industry, no two days are the same and offer plenty of opportunities to learn.
Outside of work you’ll find Maryke spending time keeping active, being creative in many forms, and spending time with friends, family, and animals.
Bastian Altamir
Bringing his vast experience spanning more than 13 years within the construction industry, Bastian is a highly skilled roofing professional.
Credited as a problem solver and always finding innovative solutions, Bastian draws on his technical knowledge in construction engineering to find the best outcome for his clients.
Outside of work Bastian likes to keep busy mountain biking, hiking, slacklining, and practicing yoga, and loves spending time outdoors.
Benjamín E Palma Toledo
With a wealth of experience spanning more than 8 years within the roofing industry, Benjamín brings his creative approach and passion for his craft to the Dwellsmiths team.
Having previously worked on iconic New Zealand roofing projects including the Christchurch Town Hall and Queenstown O’Connells Mall, alongside vast experience in architectural and residential roofing projects, Benjamín enjoys helping make clients dreams a reality.
An accomplished DJ who plays throughout New Zealand, outside of work Benjamín enjoys creating, playing, and listening to music. When he’s not performing, you might find Benjamín out on the ski field or playing football.
